While high rise buildings and housing are popping out like mushrooms rapidly since the past decade, the demands on heavy equipment has risen as well as most contractors would prefer to rent than to own for storage and convince ( storage facilities for the equipment, fuel source, man power, maintenance and repairs). As on of the new comers in the industry the trend is fascinating and promising.
Here are the list of top heavy equipment used/rented:
1. Excavators
Excavators are heavy-duty, used for major earthmoving tasks, such as digging, construction, trenching, and plumbing. A mini excavator could be employed for smaller jobs. One of the benefits of a mini excavator is transportation ease. Of course, rent the best size for your specific construction project.
2. Forklifts
Forklifts are an integral tool for most contractors. Because of this, many contractors own one or two. However, if a job arose that required a large fleet of forklifts, beyond your capabilities, renting makes sense. Most construction equipment rental companies will have the specific forklift needed for the project.
The most popular types are warehouse forklifts, side loaders, pallet jacks, walkie stackers, and rough terrain forklifts.
3. Dozers
Dozers are also great for large earth-moving projects, used to push massive amounts of gravel, sand, and other loose materials. If you don’t own a dozer yet, renting can be excellent for tackling short-term projects or determining if a purchase decision should be made.
4. High-Reach Equipment
High-reach equipment, including lifts and scaffolding, is necessary for effectively and safely servicing tall buildings. When looking for the best rental for your project, you may consider boom lifts, scissor lifts, aerial lifts, atrium lifts, etc.
Alternatively, scaffolding rental includes hydro mobile, PowerMast, and frame options. Each is built for varying levels of jobs and can be customized to the specifications of your project.
5. Skid Steer Loaders
Skid steers serve as the “jack-of-all-trades” in a multitude of projects, from construction to farming. This tool can perform many essential tasks, including snow removal, site cleanup, demolition, and excavation.
6. Mobile Crane
are used for moving large and heavy materials. These versatile cranes easily adapt to various work sites and lift a wide range of loads. They can be used with little or no assembly to hoist, transport, and place equipment and are commonly used for construction, wind power, and HVAC projects.
7. Wheel Loaders
Wheel loaders, essential for efficient material handling on construction sites, are available for convenient rentals. These versatile machines excel in loading tasks, making them ideal for various projects, from large-scale construction to short-term earth-moving needs.
8. Backhoe Loaders
Backhoe loaders, versatile machines adept at both digging and loading tasks, offer a dynamic solution for construction projects. Embrace their adaptability as they seamlessly transition between digging precision and efficient material loading. When embarking on diverse construction tasks, the backhoe loader becomes an invaluable asset.
9. Graders
Graders stand as essential tools for precision grading and leveling on construction sites, offering a meticulous touch to earth-moving projects. While many contractors own graders for their accuracy in shaping and finishing surfaces, renting becomes a sensible choice when faced with specialized projects that demand precise grading.
10. Dump Trucks
known also as a dumping truck, dump trailer, dumper trailer, dump lorry or dumper lorry or a dumper for short, is used for transporting materials (such as dirt, gravel, or demolition waste) for construction as well as coal.
What is the future of construction industry in the Philippines?
Following an annual growth of 12.1% in 2022, the Philippine construction industry is expected to expand by 7% in real terms in 2023, supported by improving economic conditions and public and private sector investment in infrastructure, energy, educational and healthcare facilities, coupled with an improvement in tourism and leisure and hospitality activities.
